Igazi Paice-féle dobjáték, Blackmore fantasztikus, Lord szintúgy, a többiek ha nem is ennyire kiemelkedően, de hozzák az elvárható teljesítményt, ami a zenekar későbbi pályafutását ismerve is elismerésre méltó. A Hush lett a mindenki által ismert, ma is játszott sláger, de a lemez többi dala is említést érdemel, az instrumentális And The Adress vagy a Mandrake Root is felejthetetlen. A Shades Of Deep Purple előrevetítette, hogy ez a zenekar sikeres lesz, nem is véletlenül.
